THE MOVEMENT TEAM
Changing how you think about healthcare.
Meet The Movement team.
We are The Movement - a team running a multidisciplinary performance rehab facility in Dundas, ON and Brantford, ON! Alongside our extensive clinical practice we’ve been applying ourselves as educators and connectors in the broader physiotherapy field through the PT Coffeecast. But we want to impact the local community, which led us to our bricks and mortar locations along with our local podcast Move Local. As clinicians, we are very passionate about promoting an active, healthy lifestyle and helping people thrive in the activities they care about. Through the Movement Performance Podcast, our team delivers deep dives into topics ranging from recovery and rehabilitation to training and performance development.

Nick Dozzi
PHYSIOTHERAPIST, B.KIN
Brantford
Nick was born and raised in Hamilton. Growing up as a hockey player in the area, he became passionate about rehab and performance early in his career, looking to stay healthy and gain a competitive advantage over the competition. Junior hockey took him all over Ontario and Canada including spending a year on the east coast in which he was able to travel through most of the big cities in the Maritimes and Quebec. Since dreams of being a professional athlete ended, he came back home to complete his schooling. Nick now enjoys staying active throughout the year with strength training, golfing and snowboarding.
He completed his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Before this, he completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Brock University where he also spent time in the sport performance centre working with the women’s varsity basketball and volleyball athletes in strength and conditioning. For the past 5 years throughout school, Nick has worked at a local Hamilton gym with everyone from professional hockey players and collegiate athletes of various sports to those just looking to stay active and achieve performance goals of their own. Now with his physiotherapy degree Nick believes exercise and education are integral to a successful rehab and uses manual therapy and soft tissue techniques to supplement his approach when appropriate.

Dalton Laino
PHYSIOTHERAPIST, CO-FOUNDER
Dundas
Dalton has a drive for growth. Whether it be his health journey, his own personal development, or continually hearing other peoples perspectives on the PTCoffeecast that he co-hosts with Will. This drive has lead him to partnering with Don and Will to build The Movement Physio & Performance. Outside of this you can find Dalton dabbling in various areas of fitness such as CrossFit and Running, drinking freshly brewed coffee from his aeropress, and enjoying a hike while listening to his favourite podcast.
Dalton has been on a mission to qualify for the Boston Marathon and has shifted a lot of his spare time to running. With this he has been helping rehab and strengthen runners to help them improve their performance and also stay injury free.
Dalton completed his Masters of Physical Therapy Degree at Western University. Prior to that, he graduated with a Kinesiology degree from the University of Windsor where he played football in the Canadian Junior Football League. He has spent the early part of his career working as both a physiotherapist and a strength coach. During this time he discovered that the most important thing he can do for people is position himself as a guide on their rehab and fitness journey. Dalton uses a combination of exercise and education to empower his clients and aims to have them leave stronger than they came in!

Lauren Zigelstein
Client Experience Manager
Lauren has always been passionate about movement and exercise. As a child and throughout high school, she swam competitively and learned the importance of working alongside a team, dedicating time and energy to a collective goal. Lauren also learned the importance of pushing oneself out of one's comfort zone and never giving up on your dreams. In her adult years, she applied these invaluable lessons by choosing to leave her career after spending 15 years in advertising and finding her true calling in Health and Wellness. Bridging her skills in client services, project and business management with her passion for supporting others to make positive health changes brought her to Movement.
On Lauren's off time, you can find her out and about taking her kids to various activities around town or with her husband on the hiking trails of Dundas. She's also taking courses at McMaster to become a Health and Wellness Coach to help others understand how to create positive change through habit formation and behaviour change methodologies.
